Rockets U19 Tier I Place Two in ECAC Division I

BRIDGEWATER, NJ – The New Jersey Rockets are proud to announce that Miye D'Oench ('94, NYC, NY) has committed to Head Coach Katey Stone and the Harvard Crimson for the Class of 2016, while Lauren Wash ('94, Belle Mead, NJ) has committed to Head Coach John Burke and the RPI Engineers for the class of 2016.  Harvard and RPI play in the NCAA ECAC Division I Women's Hockey Conference. 

While with the Rockets, both Wash and D'Oench have played for Coach Mark Hurle, starting on their third season together for the U19 Tier I New Jersey Rockets, and have led the team as co-captains to consecutive MAWHA League titles, AHAA District titles and to the USA Hockey Nationals in '10 and '11.

D'Oench and Wash were ranked 1st and 2nd, respectively, for overall points in the Tier I Elite League last season.  This year, the Rockets have advanced to the playoff round at the Stoney Creek University Showcase in Ontario, CA, and to the semi-final round at the U19AA Bauer Invitational in Rochester, NY.
